Walt from Walt's Adventures here in Walnut Creek, California and I decided to venture forth to Plucked Chicken and Beer. This establishment was recommended to me so I decided to increase my reviews at this time by one. I was worried upon entry for in the middle of dinner time... only 1 other family was present but no matter. The menu was easy to navigate and I decided upon the Buff Chick sandwich. Another member had the chicken strips and we both would consume their waffle fries. Their fries would be one of my favorite before the conclusion of our visit. My Buff Chick was well named for it arrived with not one but 2 flavored patties on a bun. I wished that such specifics, 2 patties, were described on the menu for those hearty eaters. My meal was very good for it left a a heated sting on my tongue but was difficult for me to manage. I would have been satisfied with just 1 patty and will ask for the reduction in the future. As for the regular chicken strips, they never stood a chance especially being so delectable. Would I return to Plucked? I believe that I most definitely would. The possess both indoor and outdoor seating, fantastic fries, and very good chicken offered in a variety of different ways... from strips to sandwiches to even tacos. Some eateries are corporations and have no choice when it comes to names. You either opened up a "golden arches" or you didn't. For Plucked, If given the opportunity, I would extract the And beer for I do not drink beer and also didn't observe any on the premises. I look forward to returning and if you want something different than the usual then look no further than Plucked Chicken...and Beer.

While fried chicken sandwiches are delicious, places that serve exclusively fried chicken usually have a pretty limited menu and If I like them I'm usually getting the same thing every time. Plucked on the other hand has so many wildly different breeds of fried chicken sandwich and sides that I'm going to need to visit it a few more times before I've tried all the ones I want to try. Some of them are piled quite high and very filling. I'm giving a star off because of the beer thing. I've gone twice about 6-9 months apart and they are still not serving beer. I think the first time we went it was recently opened so they could maybe use that as an excuse, but at this point cover up the words "and beer" on your sign or something cause it's just misleading to people passing by who want to go to a place that serves beer. At this point there's clearly some sort of laziness, either in not being able to provide beer or being in denial and thinking you can continue to promote the beer knowing you can't deliver. They are "Plucked Chicken." And that is good enough.

Finally tried Plucked after happy hour at Mike Hess, and it is so yummy. I had the Pacific Bowl with organic brown rice and quinoa, grilled teriyaki chicken, seaweed salad, avocado, edamame, cucumber, pickled ginger, and pluck sauce. They were a bit heavy on the teriyaki sauce, but it still tasted great. I also had the mac and cheese, which was creamy, comfort food. I can't wait to go back for their waffle sandwiches and tacos.

Enjoyed a Naughty Nash and Hot as Pluck fries. Decent flavor, chicken was moist. I didnt find it spicy but may need to order on site to see if they can kick the heat a few levels (also gives me a chance to get a beer!). Overall, ordering online was fast, order was ready in about 15 minutes which was perfect. Got it home (10 mins drive) and it was still warm and enjoyable. Next time, I'll take some pics!

Came by this spot as I was waiting for one of my kids practices to end and wanted to try something new. Plucked looked like it should have a good chicken sandwich! For dine in, you do the QR deal and wait for your order. They do a brisk take out and door dash business. There's only two workers so I can see how the place can get messy. Got my basic Cluck sandwich and waffle fries. The fries were really good- hot and crispy- the fried chicken sandwich was fried nicely too. Could have used a ketchup packet refill and a table cleanup, but like I said, the two workers were busy- I'll be back

Plucked Chicken & Beer is a new eating spot in a shopping center filled with nothing but eating spots. I mean, it's literally wedged between to other eating spots, just in this part of the strip alone. So there's certainly no shortage of food options when you drop by here. And with Starbird just across the street on the Whole Foods shopping center, it's got competition within its own ranks. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside of the place. The seating area has both smaller tables, and larger tables towards the back side of the restaurant when you get it, but it's not a particularly large place overall, but does have plenty of seating to accommodate varying sized parties. The staff here today was very friendly. She was helpful, friendly, and just overall had a really great interaction with the customers. The menus are not at the register, so before you decide what you want to eat, make you way to the walls on the inside, as they're posted up on the right side of the wall when you walk in, and menus on the left side of the wall all the way in where the larger tables are. The menu isn't terribly large, but enough of a variety of sandwiches/tenders/sides to keep your casual eater interested. I decided to go with the tenders today, and got it with the angry sauce, which is a mildly spicy sauce, with sesame seeds and green onions sprinkled on top. They market it as a Korean style sauce. The sauce was alright. I also got ranch with the tenders, and thought that the tenders probably would have been better with just the ranch, as they were quite crispy/crunchy to begin with, but they put so much sauce on there that it sort of took away some of that allure, not to mention, the sauce wasn't exactly mind blowing by any means. Not bad, but would have rather just tried some of their other sauces that goes for the dipping option. The big winner today for me was the Kimchi Fries, which were quite tasty. How much of this was due to the Kimchi, and not just the other sauces that they would typically put with these fries? No clue, but all I know was that it was delicious, and I would definitely get that again next time. I do want to note though, they say "Kimchi", but it just looks like basic cabbage that is chopped up, sauced up, and not really a traditional fermented Kimchi. I mean, it was pretty good nonetheless, but I wouldn't call it "Kimchi". Final verdict? I would come back to Plucked for those Kimchi fries. I would want to try one of their sandwiches later on. The tenders were great, but the angry sauce itself wasn't, so it sort of made the tenders less interesting as a result. I would try the tenders again though without the sauces put on them, but just the ones to dip the tenders in. Pricing wise, it's not expensive, especially considering the area, and comparatively to Starbird across the street. Staff here today was great.
